We are now looking for a social secretary for our adult unit Maria Nova who wants to be part of creating positive changes for individuals.

Job Responsibilities

The adult unit's mandate is to investigate, provide support and treatment, and follow up on interventions for adults aged 18 and over who have problems with substance abuse or addiction to alcohol, drugs, and/or gambling. Official authority is also exercised within the areas of domestic violence, social psychiatry, and housing.

You will belong to a work group with several social secretaries and will be supervised by the 1st Social Secretary and the Unit Manager.

We place great value on social work and meet clients in the situation they are in. The work is based on creating relationships, alliances, and trust through respectful treatment.

The job responsibilities include investigating, deciding on, and following up on interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) or the Law on Care of Abusers (LVM). An important part of the work is to support and motivate the individual in change processes. You coordinate and guide the various contacts and/or interventions the individual has from the start of the investigation until the case is closed at the unit. We are now looking for you who have competence in both substance abuse, mental health issues, and domestic violence.

The workplace is based at Maria Nova in central Mariestad, and we work full-time Monday-Friday 08-17.

Qualifications

For the position, you must have a degree in social work or another equivalent educational background, as well as experience working with official authority. We would like you to have experience working with people who have substance abuse, mental health issues, and/or dual diagnosis. It is an advantage if you have training in ASI, FREDA, Patriark, or other assessment instruments, as well as experience working with domestic violence.

Your role involves close collaboration with other actors both internally and externally, so it is required that you have good cooperation skills, are service-oriented, and are value-driven.
